Quick Update

Hi ladies, you have all been so sweet and supportive throughout this rollercoaster i am STILL on so I figured I should keep you updated.

I went in for another internal sono and there was no sign of baby, which I sort of expected and some of you even warned me about. The cyst is still there and is large and in charge. Dr. just told me again that if I feel severe sharp pains to call him. They are more concerned about the baby issue right now.

My beta levels went up. Last Wednesday they were 629 and then Friday they were 1490. Great.

My uteris walls are still thick and the tech saw a sac but the sac is empty. Dr. told me that there could be a number of possibilities.
#1: Still too early in pregnancy and baby will show up soon.
#2: Something about maybe the male chromosomes overwhelmed the female and the egg died after being fertilized (forgive me if I am explaining htis like a 1st grader, I was pretty panick stricken and I was alone)
#3: There is a chance this will be a tubal pregnancy and in that case I will have to either have a D&C, have it removed through my belly button, or do a session of chemotherapy.

Dr. didnt seem that hopeful, but not entirely hopeless. I could tell he was trying to stay neutral.

Ok that is all I know right now. I left crying, I cant believe I dont have an answer yet.

On top of all of this I already told my parents who live in NY (I live in Ohio) I have been keeping my mom updated but i have not told my dad a thing. Do you think I should tell him or should I wait till I have a definite answer?

What makes it worse is that My sister in laws (DH's brothers wives) both think I am pregnant and wont stop with the comments for a week now. I just keep telling them that I dont know if I am preggers yet. They ask if I got AF and i dont want to lie so I tell them no so they are convinced I am preggers. Its getting annoying, why cant they just let me give them the news when I get it? I spoke to MIL about this this Morning and she volunteered to tell them that I am going through some stuff that I dont want to talk about and to stop with the preggers comments. I told her to go for it because I know if i tell them then they are going to ask me a million questions and I dont want to talk about it!

Basically Im freaking out. What is the earliest you can get a BFP? My first faint line was 3/11. Im at work right now and just want to go home and go to bed, Im so upset.

FIRST!!!! if they saw the sac in your uterus it cant be tubal (unless its twins and 1 is in the tube)

a session of chemotherapy for a tubal pregnancy???? since when?

as long as your levels are low enough, youd get a shot of methotrexate... (this is what i had to have) which is used for cancer patients because it stops the cells from dividing and growing.... a D&C isnt used for tubal pregnancies either...

2nd... id still wait another week or two to have another sono

ETA: i had a faint line 8DPO... so just for arguments sake lets say 3/11 was 8dpo... youd be less than 5 weeks... if it was 9 or 10DPO youd be BARELY 5 weeks...

ETA: your betas are doubling in less than 48hrs... this doctor is scaring you unnecessarily

lots of positives here so try to stay calm and hang in there

your numbers look great, your uterine wall looks thick (not usually the case with tubal) and they did see a sac (not usually the case with tubal). you usually don't see anything until beta is over 1000 and you are just over it, which makes perfect sense seeing the sac.

when do you go back?

i really have so much hope for you. i just think it's very early and with your long cycles, they are having a tough time determing how far along you are.

Sorry your going through this. You may want to see another doctor for a second opinion. Something seems a little off with those options.

Im so glad to hear that even after this you girls are still being positive. Im going back in one week, I hope that is long enough.

i think waiting a week is a good idea. you should know what's going on at that point. i'm just sorry that you have to keep waiting.

I am so very sorry for this rollercoaster you're on. I'm really hoping that you're just too early for them to see what's going on. Doctors really don't know everything, try not to let them make you panic. Best of luck to you!

I am sorry you are going through this but I agree with the pp. The beta going up, the thick uterine wall and the presence of a sack are all things to be positive about.

I'm sorry you're still dealing with this. You should be able to try to enjoy this time after your BFP

I wish I had something to offer besides hugs. I hope you get a final answer soon.

It's weird they would say tubal pregnancy if they saw an empty sac. I agree with AngnShaun on that one.

I'm gonna hold out hope that you are just really early! I had an empty sac at 4 wks, and then 2 wks later was the fetal pole and heartbeat. (Pics in my album)

o noes i'm so sorry that you have to go through this. the comments sure doesn't help and i'd be frustrated like heck if it were me. i hope your MIL saying something will take that part of the stress off! hang in there and in the meantime keeping you in my prayers!!

First lots of to you. This must be insanely stressful. Honestly, I'd go for a 2nd opinion asap. What your doctor is saying just doesn't add up. See if you can get another appointment with another OB.

Thanks again for your advice! Right now the Dr is advising me to wait until next weeks sono. All the stuff he told me were "possibilities" I guess he wants me to be prepared for the worst. However, I am staying really positive because I feel in my heart that I am just really early and next week we will see/hear a heartbeat
