Quick? Anyone know, would this thermometer have mercury in it?
Anyone know how this thermometer works and if it would have mercury in it? Or would you see the mercury if a thermometer had it in it, like in the old glass ones?

I thought the baned the production of mercury thermometers? or was that only on glass thermometers?

That is one of the spring-type thermometers. No mercury. The only mercury ones are the tube type with silver metal as the temp indicator. If you don't see a slim tube of silver inside a glass tube, it's not a mercury thermometer.

That's what I thought, thank you!! I had a feeling YOU would know for some reason!
Is it because many of my posts seem like I've had a lot of mercury exposure?
