Question to all ladies on the TTC board

I have been thinking about this.

I know the second if/when I get my BFP I'm going to want to run on here and tell you all.

My problem is - I have lots of friends and family who are also on LIF that I would want to tell first - without them reading it on the TTC board.

I won't be waiting weeks to tell everyone - but there are certain people I wouldn't want to find out through LIF KWIM?

But I know I'll want to tell you all the second if/when it happens - but I don't know how that's possible.

Is anyone else in this position?

What do you plan on doing?

I will be telling family and close friends first, then I'll post it here, never know who's lurking!

i guess you could make up a fake name and tell people to FM you to find out your identity... and then you can tell who you would like without worrying about lurkers.

i guess i am one of the lucky ones that know i don't have family on here.....so i came out as soon as we knew for sure. i have spent so much time here with you ladies - you are my family...

if it came down to it - you could make a fake name and fm anyone you wanted to know..

I guest i'm lucky. I don't think i know anyone on here. But i decided not to post pictures and things that could identify me just in case. I did came from liw and i know there are a few people on there that i know so they may post here. So i decided for now I will remain hidden cause i don't even want most people to know we are trying.

i have the same problem.. i am still undecided if i am going to create a fake name or not... i hate doing that.. but i dont know if i can keep it a secret

I will tell my family and friends IRL first.

THEN I will totally create a fake name for a quick fun.

I think I will disclose who I am after my 1st OB's visit.

That's if I get PG of course.

Well, I've done it all Diana! I told a few friends IRL 1st, then immediate family...then I went into hiding on LIF cuz there were some people I couldn't have find out...and then I came...then m/c

So, next time...I have NO clue who I'll tell!!!

You know I cant keep a secret. But I learned that the safe at 12 week mark means nothing after my last M/C...and so this time if we are blessed, I am not going to tell too many people, but since I have no one on her ethat I wouldnt tell anyway, I will tell here and just keep it more quiet with outside of here family and friends till Im much further along.

I probably won't post it on here until we tell everyone. i know A lot of people who lurk. We are not going to tell everyone until after our first OB appt. We'll just tell our parents. Then once we see the Dr. and take the blood test and get results we will start telling pepole and i will post.

OMG, Diana I was JUST thinking about this!

I told my parents, BF and SIL very early on. I waited and told my boss and other close friends around 10 weeks or so,.

I told my other coworkers and anyone else after the 12 week mark.

I know I can't keep a secret, but am a little superstitious this time around. Also I know some of my coworkers are LIFers and don't want to tell my work too soon.

So after this rambling, I don't know what I'll do, but it's on my mind



ETA All this being said- you can FM if you think I have a fake name

I don't think that I'll create a fake name, I'll just keep to myself and continue posting and eventually come out once I'm done with the 1st trimester and my family knows.

i'll prob just wait a couple of weeks and than reveal. just to be safe it's not a chemical or misscarriage. I don't know though, who knows how i'll be when it happens.
