question re mc and hcg levels

this is for a friend not me... she had a mc at 6 weeks the day she mc they took blood hcg was 35 she did not have a dnc. she went back the next week hcg is 37 goes back again and its 56. i have never ever heardof such a rthing. how could her hcg go down if she mc?

when i M/c my dr told me the levels should double going down, just as they double up when you are PG. I havent heard of the levels going back up once they go down, what did her dr say?

th first time it was such a little increase they said it could have been b/c it was done at two different labs and just an error this time i am not suer what they said. she has another test this week.
