UPDATED WITH Stupid question #2 re: HCG levels

I know it is better to take a HPT in the morning - does it matter what time you take the blood test to test for HCG levels - i.e. whether morning or evening? Are the levels higher in the morning or is it the same?

TIA

Home pregnancy tests meausre the amt of hcg in your urine which can fluctuate throughout the day depending on fluids drank, time of day etc. Blood hcg is always the "real level" Why are you worried about this?

it doesnt matter actually when you take the HPT... if it shows up positive in your urine it sure will be there in your bloodstream....

Thank you! I was asking because I was trying to decide whether to schedule the blood test earlier in the day or in the evening. I didn't want to call back the dr.'s office and look like the nuerotic i am becoming Chat Icon
