That *could* mean three things...

Either in her eyes, weight is not an issue for determining friendship
or
She wants to make herself look good by having friends who are heavier than her
or
It's just a coincidence.

ETA: I doubt there is any real reasoning behind it

Agreed

Don't you think that relevance or irrelevance is totally subjective, depending on the individual him/herself?

Only a selfish, idiotic, stupid woman would befriend a "fat" woman solely to feel better about herself as a thin woman.

Uggh. I had a friend like this. She would always invite us (the heavier girls) to go out with her to clubs and stuff. That way she could pawn off the fugly guys to us and all of the sexy guys would pay attention to her. Once I found out about her style, I dumped her as a friend.

As a side note, she is divorced now and left her twin daughters with her ex. She likes the life of a party girl.

perhaps it's one of those markers one looks for in a mate...

women look for things in men too..good father, good at fixing things...

perhaps this is a man thing....most or least likely to pork up..

it could be a dealbreaker for some

I suppose so. Answering subjectively I look at it as an irrelevant thing since the size of my friends has nothing to do with whether or not I am friends with them.

I thought about it more though, and I realized that while all different sizes, my friends and I do kind of look the same. Like we all have long hair, we dress similarly...

for someone to have an "agenda" like this is disgusting! Chat Icon
if she's still that type of person, it sounds like her daughters are better off not having her as a role model.
although Im sure they will admire her all the same..mommy is mommy..Chat Icon

Maybe they have been friends for years and all fluctuated in weight.

I know what it means. It means he's not good enough to date her - and he should just move on.

Honestly, who CARES what her friends look like?

And some of my friends are chubby, some are thin, some have fluctuating weight... and I couldn't care less.
