question for anyone with a graco snugride 30 carseat

How do you know when to increase the incline? My ds always lived the car now he screams the second we out him in. I read online could have to do with incline and increasing it so they can look out the window. I looked in the manual it came with and online if there were guidelines when to increase it but found nothing. Anyone? My ds is 4 months and around 16 pounds now. Thanks!

First take out any of the additional padding, that could be too much for him

There is a foot on the base which extends out to make it more or less inclined, you would want to decrease that, lessening the incline to make it more upright.
