ETA new question How to clean the Graco snugride carseat STRAPS?
Hi girls...
Anyone know the best way to clean the Graco infant seats - like the fabric part? I just borrowed the one that can hold up to a 30lb baby from a friend - just to hold me over a few months until I'm ready to put DC in the convertible seat (she's only 6 mos old but outgrown the smallest Snugride and I'm not ready to give up the snap-n-go just yet).
Let's just say it is beyond filthy...dried up crud in corners I'm not even sure how it would get there. I skeeve at other people's messes.....I hosed down the base b/c that was beyond filthy too. I so want to use it - but need to figure out how to clean it first. Luckily it's cold out and I can use the bundle me so DC won't come in actual contact with the seat.
Sorry if I sould like a crazy person - it's just really messy/dirty and I really want to be able to use it for a few months.

ETA...ok got the material insert in the wash now. The straps are beyond disgusting. Any tips on how to clean those? Sorry I feel like this is such a silly question. It's just skeeving me out big time! TIA! I took the plastic pieces off the straps and they are soaking in bleach...it's just the actual straps I am just wiping them down but they still look gross.
