Question about your mentality while TTC
If you get frustrated early on waiting to O, do you end up with a bad attitude for that cycle??
I was just thinking about this b/c I'm CD18, no yet. I wasn't even planning on starting this round with OPKs but DH & I have been under the weather, so I thought knowing when O was coming would help alleviate the pressure to BD (being that we really don't feel up to it every night but if we were avoiding OPKs we would have just done it all week and hope it worked). Anyway, I usually O around CD15-18 and here I have no smiley. We've been BD every other day since CD12 but I'm at the point where i kind of give up this cycle. We'll still BD til I get my and for a few days after, but I feel like I already have a bad attitude this month - like there's no way it could work (which I honestly won't be too disappointed b/c we're just starting and in no rush).
Anyway, if you're waiting to O and it doesn't come as planned, do you have a bad attitude that cycle?

Re: Question about your mentality while TTC
i totally understand where you are coming from..
some cycles are much different from others.. (with me anyway) like some seem nice and easy, and some are frustrating.. as far as not getting the when you want it.. then you dont feel like BDing because of it.. then all that anger seems like it wont get you a BFP in the end..
i get it! and feel the same way sometimes!!

Re: Question about your mentality while TTC
This is only our second month so I can only go from that. Last month I was naive and thought we would get pregnant on the first try. I was frustrated waiting for AF to begin the cycle. I was frustrated waiting to O. I was frustrated during the 2 ww. I was frustrated every time I had a BFN because I thought I had just tested too early.
This month is completely different for me! I am much more relaxed. I came to terms with the fact this process is out of my hands and all we can do is our best and hope that it is good enough.

This is true - maybe my attitude will turn around once a stick is smiling at me

Re: Question about your mentality while TTC
Lately, with my life in shambles, I find it hard to smile-I try to take things day by day.
During Rosh Hashanah services, our Rabbi (Gellman from God Squad) gave a beautiful sermon on hope.
I reflect on that sermon every day and I am trying to remember that no matter what, we can never give up hope. If my grandma could survive the concentration camps in WWII, I can get through anything.
Hope is a powerful drug!

Re: Question about your mentality while TTC
I also know how you feel. This was our 2nd month trying and I am using the OPK and both months never got a . Very frustrating but last month I was more frustrated and this month kinda just going w/ the flow. I have PCOS and Endometriosis so I know I may not be ovulating. I think for me it is more disappointing that I don't get a ....hang in there!!!
