Question about yeast infection....

What do you do if you get one while pregnant? Can you use the over the counter stuff or do you need to see your OB?

I would call the OB, I actually didn't know I had one after my c-section and when he examined me he told me I had a "severe" yeast infection and gave me something for it which cleared it up within days, especially since your pregnant I would call and ask them about it.

I had one my first trimester and I wasn't allowed to use anything. I would definitely call.

I had one at 5 weeks. OB did an exam and told me to take Monistat 3 (over the counter).

i had one in the first trimester and was told to use monistat 3 or 5 day, just not the one day

I had one in the first trimester for both of my pregnancies. Both times my doctor cleared me to use Monistat but I was too nervous to use anything.

Instead, I drank doses of apple cider vinegar in water for a few days. It tasted gross and made me gag but it cleared things up fast, naturally.

very common to get yeast infections and UTIs during pregnancy

Eat lots of yogurt!!! I had one coming on this past week from taking antibiotics and I've been eating tons of yogurt and it's really helped a lot. My mom told me about this. I'm almost feeling 100% better.
