Quad Screen - Updated with FISH results
Came back with a soft marker for down syndrome. The baby has a missing fifth digit. Has anyone had any experience with this? The genetics counselor/dr said there were no other markers so we decided to go with the amnio just to be sure. I couldn't spend the next 23 weeks wondering what if. But waiting for the results of the amnio is torture.  
Update - The FISH results came back this am and the baby is OK, no Downs. I am so relieved. Have to await the remaining results which take another week for Spina Bifida. Thank you for all your prayers, support and FMs.

Betweenn 16 and 18 weeks. I am not sure if they do it for everyone or only if you are over 35. My ultrascreen showed a 1 and 3500 chance of DS and they supposedly are 90% accurate so I am hoping that all is ok

I had a similar issue.......my NT scan was high, blood work came back not so good, my downs ratio was 1:19. Then they found an extra digit on my son's hand, also a calcium deposit on his heart. I didn't do the amnio, just a personal decision. My son was not born with downs. He did have a little digit that hung off his pinky.......it almost looked like a little skin tag, but it had the tiniest nail on it. We got it removed when he was 8 days old. All will be okay : )

I had a soft marker for Down's too (increased nuchal translucency thickness). I did the CVS and didn't wait for Amnio at that time. Everything came back fine and he was born last week and is happy and healthy!
