~QOTD- 9/7~
How were you as student in school? DH/SO? Who do you hope DC takes after?
I was an honor roll student and LOVED school. DH is very smart (probably smarter than me) but not a student at all. My best subject was Social Studies. DH's was Math.
I hope our child has DH's intelligence but my motivation to use it!

We were both good in school...but DH is way smarter than me and super creative (he is an art teacher). I hope he takes after my DH....because that side of my brain doesn't work at all :).

I think Dh is smarter, but I am more motivated. We both turned out ok and have good jobs, so I guess I hope they just take after 1 of us!

Re: ~QOTD- 9/7~
we both did well in school, but we are smart in completely different areas. I'm great with the "arts"...literature, writing, things like that. DH is great with the sciences. However, DH had more motivation than me in college. He would be studying days before a test, and that would allow him to be calm. I'd be cramming the night before. Hopefully, baby will get more of DH's brains.

we're both smart, but I hope our future child takes after me since I'm more engaged and inquisitive when it comes to education. I think DH resents authority to a certain extent, otherwise he would have done better in school since he is actually very smart!

Re: ~QOTD- 9/7~
I was in Honors/AP English, Spanish, & SS and in regular math & science. DH was not at all invested in his education. His family only cared if he passed (if even), the grades didn't matter. I went to a 4 year University and got a post-graduate certificate when I switched careers. DH didn't go to college. If he had motivation or support, he would have done really well in school because he is extremely smart.
That being said I hope our DC has both of our intelligence but my drive for an education. Education WILL be a priority in my house!

Re: ~QOTD- 9/7~
I think we are both smart. I was 5th in my class of 250 and he graduated from a highly ranked university with a 3.9.. (undergrad and Masters) - one A- both times. We both had to work hard to get good grades though. We are also both science oriented, but one prefers life science/chem and the other is physics/math.
As for who I would want our children to take after, I would like a combination of both. I would love our future child to become involved in a science related field.
