Pumpkin Picking at Schmitts Farm
Thanks to everyone who posted about Scmitts Farm in Melville! I live in Queens and thought the closest place to go pumpkin picking was all the way out east (at LEAST an hour and a half drive each way). The drive to Melville was less than 1/2 that and we had a great time!
On the weekends they have a lot of fun things to do - a Corn Maze, Haunted Mansion, playground, snack stand, pumpkin and other vegetable picking, a petting zoo, tractor rides out to the pumpkin patch, can't remember what else. We went today and didn't realize all the extra fun stuff is only on the weekends, lol, but we still had a great time going pumpkin picking for the first time (neither DH nor I had ever gone before and obviously it was DS' first time too).
Just wanted to post for those looking for a place that isn't all the way out east! I would highly recommend it. There was no entrance fee for the UPICK and the pumpkins were 69 cents a pound.

The denim cap? Yes it's from Gap and I super duper love it  So much so, that I just bought it for him in the next two sizes for next year! lol (It was on sale plus I had a coupon).
The pumpkin hat is from Old Navy.

I'm so jealous of your awesome pics! Constantine HATES the grass and didnt want to be put down so I didnt get the pics I always wanted. Maybe next year...

Thanks! As for the hair, you'd totally NOT feel that way if you knew how long it takes me to get it dry, get it straight and make it look decent

You know, I think today was the first time DS sat straight on the grass (no blankets) and he was so intrigued! He was actually pulling it and trying to eat it  DH was kinda freaking out, but I was just happy DS was actually sitting on his own

i was devastated   i picked that hat up in 6-12 months and 12-18 months on the day that they gap was having their 40% off sale and i must have dropped them because they werent in my bag when i got home   i ALMOST went back that night to get them. maybe ill go look today and see if they are still there. after seeing Henry in it, Jack NEEEEEDS to have it

 Oh lordy I would have been so upset too!!! You should have called the store. Heck, maybe they forgot to put them in your bag. Definitely call or go by the store and tell them exactly what happened! I think Jack would look SO freakin adorable in it!
