Progesterone Suppositories

My RE just told me my progesterone level was slightly low 9.1 and they wanted it 10 or above and would like me to start taking suppositories twice a day.

Can anyone provide some information about side effects, things to look out for, etc?

I am going back in a week for a pregnancy test because they said it can delay AF. Ugh I am SO upset, I was hoping something would come back okay.

Did they put you on Crinone 8% gel or suppositories? I'm only familiar with Crinione, but I never had any side effects. It doesn't delay AF for me either, but neither did 400mg progesterone in pill form.

try not to be upset. it sounds like it's only a little low from where they want to be and it's a good thing they checked. the suppositories will bring it up right away.

i always found them to be messy. i recommend wearing a panty liner. if you can put them in right before bed and lie down immediately, it won't be as bad.

i never had any bad side effects, a little bloating was it.

i have been on the suppositories since 7 dpo but only 1x a day. I do it at night before bed and then lay down right away with a pad on. it's not terrible.

the progesterone can mimic pregancy side effects so just know that in case you start feeling symptoms. I had sore boobs and some nausea.

Thanks for the help, ladies! This might be another silly question, but does low progesterone mean that I'm probably not pregnant? I am 8dpo today and am going back to my RE a week from today which would make me 15dpo as long as AF does not arrive.
