Ummm, this is totally untrue. We don't even have a way of doing that let alone do it!

The topic that the FMs were about was rather heated. The people who sent me FMs were of a like mine as me as to what was being said. There was no conceivable reason for them to edit what I was saying. So, unless there is software in place that automatically edits posts for words that are deemed unsuitable, then someone else had to do the editing. Someone else took the time to follow what was being said because it was more than one FM and it was to more than one poster. By the way, the thread that started it was pulled. As I stated, I don't really care if anyone reads these FMs, but, a level of privacy is expected.

As for the poster who took what I wrote before and edited the spelling, your point is ludicrous. Everyone knows you can edit anything on the boards or even in FMs when you quote. My point was that if I didn't edit it and the other person who I was corresponding with didn't edit it, then who did?

Just to once again state fact. No one reads FMs nor is there any software in place to intercept, change or anything otherwise. FMs are a private communication between the parties communicating. The only way to change an FM is for the poster (either the original poster or the one replying) to make any changes to the message. The only thing we can think of is someone used the spellcheck and clicked replace without paying attention to what the word being changed to actually was.

i was recently fm'ing with someone about WEBKINZ (you know, those stuffed animals that kiddies are all crazed about) - anyway, one of the words had gotten ****'d out and/or changed, can't remember. but i do remember wondering "what the heck?? " - no vulgar, no profanity - just a simple phrase/word that had gotten changed. neither of us changed it, and we were both

so unless LIF has some morbid hatred against stuffed animals - maybe there's some glich in the programming that this can happen randomly?
