Prevnar Reaction - High Fever?
Did anyone's child have a high fever after one of the prevnar 13 shots? My 2 yr old DD (she is on a delayed schedule) got the 4th prevnar yesterday and now her temp is 104.1!!! I put a call in to the ped and am waiting for him to call back. I am so worried now! My kids typically have reactions to shots (well my other DC moreso than my DD) but never THIS high with this shot! My DD did have a reaction to the 2nd prevnar but her fever was only around 101. I HATE THESE SHOTS! And, yet again, I am left wondering if I am doing more harm than good.

I think most fevers from vaccines are low grade. I'd call the ped ASAP for a 104 fever!

Ugh - Prevnar is THE WORST! Both of my DD's react horribly to it -- fever, terrible pain at the injection site, no sleep for anyone! I cringe when the doctor says that one of them needs Prevnar!

The PREVNAR was the ONLY vaccine my DD had a fever with, however, that was at 4 mths. Hope she is better soon.
