My sister is RH negative and had 2 full term healthy pregnancies.

My mom was RH negative for me and my brother and we were both fine. I'm sorry you're going through this but I hope everything works out!

I am RH- and have wonderful little DD. The reason why they give you the shot after a miscarriage or pregnancy is in case the child is RH+ when the blood from the child comes into contact with yours, your body creates antibodies to fight off the baby's cells because they dont recognize it as safe.
The Rhogam shot prevents your body from making these antibodies.
FYi, technically u only need the shot if the father is RH+, but I know alot of doctors give the shot without even testing to the father.
