I got my most recent Prada bag at the Space outlet outside Florence. I realize this is not the most convenient however if you are planning a trip there (there is also a Gucci outlet at the Mall), or if you know someone who is headed there, you can have them check and see if they have the style you want. I know its a long shot but I got a ridiculously good price.

You can also join ideeli, ruelala, modnique, beyondtherack, etc. They often have sales of designer purses for really good prices.

I pay retail...I get them from the actual boutique or from a dept. store
eta: I learned my lesson when I bought a fake LV off of ebay...I was SO pisssed. Fought the seller and got my money back though b/c it was "guaranteed authentic"

I pay retail. I have been checking out BBOS for any used ones I may like. I really want a Chanel. It's next on my wish list but since I just quit my job, I don't see that happening any time soon!
