So I tried to take advantage of the snow day and put undies on DS. He kept taking them off and peeing all over the house... i'd put him on the potty and he would jump off... help not sure how to do this... any advice would help

Honestly, it sounds like he's not ready yet.

Do you talk about the potty or read any potty books to get him interested? I think they have to show an interest in order to be successful.

I bought the potty power dvd and 3 seconds in he had his pants and diaper off and wanted to sit on the potty... but then he jumps right off... think we need to try with the kids potty not the adult one with kiddie seat...

I started when DS was approx 18 months. We would sit him on both the big potty and his little potty. Also, he has been watching us go for a long time. We did this so he would not be afraid of the potty.

He just turned 2 in Dec and he will pee on the potty if we ask him if he needs to go. He is def not fully ready so we aren't pushing it.

How old is he?

DS 1 would do the same thing. We didn't train him until he was 3 1/4 but, it went really smoothly once we did - we just put him in undies and he was pee trained in one day.

We used the 3 day potty training method. We had very good success with it. If you want I can email it to you if you send me your email. I didn't know where to start either with DS.
