dad: my mom, sister, brother and i all chipped in for a flat screen tv with a dvd player. . . we gave it to him last night bc he works on sun and he LOVED it.
FIL: gift card to home depot - he wants to buy a new shed.

My dad asked for a spice rack (he's divorced and on his own now).
FIL asked for a landscapers pail (which looks like a huge garbage pail with no top).
I doubt these gifts would give anyone else any ideas!

for all of you who say your dad's hate when you spend $ on them, my mom is the exact same way! when I told her what I bought my dad she goes "ask your sisters to chip in with you"
 umm that's ok mom, the sandals were under $100, not $1000

he was so excited he jumped in it...

My step mom forgot who The Police were and she thougth we got them tickets to see The Village People.
