Pool owners- question
When you have to take water out of your pool, where do you run the hose? My family used to run it into the street when I was a kid, but I have heard you are not supposed to do this now.

Thats what we always used to do... if you are on the island and have a wooded area behind your house somewhere. you COULD run it there.. but the chlorine content may kill some of the plants?

Re: Pool owners- question
Your not suppose to run it in the street but depending on your neighbors would they care? It's suppose to be only on your property (what I was told) we have a nursery behind our house and the guy called the town on us because the water was leaking over to his property. Be careful, people can go balistic over non sense.

Directly behind us is just vacant land so DH has been draining it through the fence into that lot. Hopefully the chlorine and chemicals kill the poison ivy that's behind there.
