No. What is meant to be is meant to be imho. If we cannot conceive, then we were not meant to be parents.

God willing you will never have to put that statement to the test.

I could not conceive because I am a little older. To insinuate that God did not want me to be a mother - is an insult and extremely hurtful.

Not meant to be offending in any way, a question was asked and I gave my opinion on what I felt would be right in my life.

Sorry if your feelings were hurt, that was not my intent.Chat Icon

If I could not have children, I would definitely adopt, without a doubt

Re: POLL: Adoption

if i couldnt have children, i would adopt.

ironic story -
friends of ours tried for almost 10 years to have children.
they were unsuccessful, so decided to adopt and have a beautiful boy.

after the adoption was complete, they ended up conceiving! And again!

They now have 2 boys and a girl!

how lovely!

The same happened with my aunt. She and my uncle tried for 10 years. Then they adopted my beautiful cousin Liza. Not even months after Liza was home they had a baby boy on the way!

I know several other stories like this - such a beautiful thing.

I wouldlove to adopt, even after having children of my own. To give a child a loving upbringing is the greatest gift.

i know a couple with a similar story too!! they have two girls, less than a year apart. funny thing is - they look like twins! went to a wedding and saw them recently, and couldn't tell which was the biological and which was the adopted child. SUCH a beautiful thing!!!!

I would but my DH would not. We already discussed this before we were married. I wish he felt differently.

I have heard stories like this before! It's wonderful.

As far as the question, Yes, I most likely would adopt.

Re: POLL: Adoption

We have spoken about this and are open to it. I have also had two very special people in my life offer to surrogate for me should we come to that point. I really want my own biological baby but if after time it is not to be I would love a child given to me with everything I had.
