Please tell me its ok
that I go to Zumba class 2X a week during the 2WW and while TTC?
I researched online and everywhere I read said its totally fine to take Zumba classes while TTC and even while pregnant so long as you don't over exert yourself. But I think I need some reassurance from you girls . I've put on a bit of weight in the past 6 months or so (I quite smoking last July ) and although I am still thin, I'm not completley comfortable in my own skin. I don't mean to sound vain- but I have always been so skinny and not fitting perfectly in my clothes is totally new to me and it's been really getting me down. I know that I'm inevitably going to gain weight when I finally get preggo but in the meantime I have really been trying to get back into shape. I'd hate to give up my exercise routine.
Does anyone think that I may be a little too selfish in wanting the best of both worlds? What would you do? Honest opinions are welcome and appreciated.
TIA

Re: Please tell me its ok
I was supposed to start Zumba on Fridays but I see an RE and I'm taking clomid so they told me while I'm on that not to do any high impact exercise.. Which Zumba is.. But I don't think that you should have a problem if you aren't taking anything.. Also I take an aerobics class 2x's a week and my instructor knows that I'm TTC. She told me as soon as I get preggo to let her know so that she could modify my routine.. HTH

Re: Please tell me its ok
I exercise like 5 times a week, and intense exercise.
My close friend is 8 months pregnant and has been going to the gym 3 times a week since before she got pregnant. She still goes to this day.
You cant stop your normal routine, exercise is good for you and baby

Did they say why you shouldn't do it while on Clomid? I'm not too familiar with that.
Thanks!

Re: Please tell me its ok
I go to kickboxing 5x a week. I think you shouldn't start anything new or increase what you are already doing but if you are active then stay active while TTC.

Yes it is fine! Just dont go overboard if you are not used to it. I exercise about 5x a week and plan to do so while TTC and pregnant.

Re: Please tell me its ok
I've heard as long as it was a pattern before you're okay. I am trying in 5-6 months. In the past 2 years, I have become lazy and FAT!!! I am trying to get my butt in gear in the next 6 months, so that I will be healthier for my pregnancy.
