Please tell me I am crazy!
Ok I posted this on LIW and everyone told me NOT to go but we are all a bunch of crazy brides  What do you all think? My wedding is on Saturday:
Okay today is FMIL's birthday and we are supposed to go over there
Last Friday FSIL had 105 fever and she was diagnosed with the flu, she had a low grade fever even yesterday. She has three kids and none of them have any symptoms as of now. I have my flu shot.
FH called FMIL to make sure that no one was sick today so I can come to dinner. FMIL said in a nice way "If Matilde is scared of getting sick, tell her she doesn't have to come - I understand"
So, I told FH to swing by and pick up her card and he pauses and says "wait what? you are really not going to come?"
So I laughed it off and pretended I was joking, but I wasn't. Is that criminally insane NOT to go?

dont' get too close, wash your hands and you should be fine.

Tilde, is it a big birthday? Like 50, 60, 70 etc?
If it is, then I think missing it would be a big deal. If it's just another birthday, don't risk it!

you really want someone to tell you you're crazy? i saw your post on 08!
if she's sick and has the flu---i wouldn't want to risk it. but i'd probably still go--even just for a little bit. i mean -- she is your MIL in just a few days--and i'm sure she's helped you in the planning and such....just show face for a few minutes--say "happy birthday" and say that you have some last minute wedding stuff to tend to...i know bdays come every year--but this is your FMIL...might as well make a quick appearance!

it IS her 50th birthday ( can you tell i left that out so people would be more sympathetic ) 
FH lives there so he is definitely going either way. . .

Being sick on your wedding day will not be fun at all!!!

think of it this way - if you go and get sick you probably won't feel any symptoms until after the weddding day so if you don't mind being sick for the honemoon then i would go! 
if it were me i would suck it up and go but i would probably stay on the other side of the room.

you may even be immune to this strain

If everyone in the house is still sick - why can't they just postpone the BDay dinner ?? -
Don't go - the LAST thing you need is to be sick for your own wedding !! There's enough going around this time of year, you don't need to walk into a house full of germs! -
Call her to wish her a Happy Bday and send a gift w/ your FH
ETA - I didn't realize your FH lives @ home with his family - If you're going to get it, it would be from him anyway, I'd just go -

yes, you're crazy..
Because its her 50th birthday, you have the shot, your DH lives there and therefore is exposed and I'm sure you still see him, I think you'll be ok.

you know yourself best, do you usually pick up things like that? Personally I know for myself that if I am run down at all (from stress, flying or anything else), I'm particularly susceptible to getting sick. If your like that at all, then don't go. I assume you have both stress from the wedding, and will be flying, I wouldn't want to risk it.

but maybe thats bc i just got over a week long stomach virus and getting sick w/anything at this point would annoy me. LOL

I can see this happening..a year from now when all the hoopla of the wedding is over, your MIL will have one thing to throw at you..that you missed her celebration because you were scared of getting sick even though you had a shot and DH lives there and was exposed.
You will feel like crap because you will think it's a bit silly.
Maybe I'm a hardened old married...

You had the shot. He's already got whatever germs she has.
Also...
Think of the decades of being able to tame your MIL with the words..."if only I hadn't gone..."
That alone may be worth licking her spoon.
