Chelle- For being so much like me and understanding how our C/S's although resulting in a blessing can still make us sad. And her beautiful friendship...
Karacg-for always being ready for a GTG and being a great friend.
Halisa- for our late night gabfests where I dont let her get a word in edgewise, and since the start being such a good friend.

Frankiesmom,diana1215, gatsbygirl,lilykat - from our starts at Adelphi ( oh those cookies!) to our Gymboree days and now Storytime, I love watching out kids grow up together..... I love that Frankie dances for me...and That Diana and I can obsess over our kids talking together.

Bmonster- Love following you around the stores on wednesdays and for being an inspiration to me

Jules who no longer posts here but is truly the definition of friend. Is always there day and night to calm me down, talk me through it, make sense and just listen.

Oh goodness I have been around these boards for so many years that I have so many people that I am grateful for.

I am grateful for my Houlihan mommies, you guys have done more for me than you will ever know, besides clothes, advice and reassurance, pictures and friendship you made me laugh about things that I needed to laugh about.

Nycchic even though you never pick up the phone you have always been there to laugh with me and cry. You have shared some of my highest highs and lowest lows

KPtoys I am not sure my daughter would have survived the first year had you not been there to help me every step of the way. You are an inspiring mommy!!!

Bxgell- We have shared stories of our spirited girls and your take on it has always made me laugh

Prncss- Ava and Dee together are an interesting combo. I am so grateful that we have gotten to know each other even better off the boards.

Monkeybride- We have shared so much through the years behind the scenes and your friendship has always meant so much

Ambersmom- for standing by me through my PPD when others turned their backs on me

DebG for standing by me also and for being an inspiration of strength

Jennasmom for being a friend and for understanding and for having Jenna inspire Dee's new 'love' of Arielle because Jenna likes it and she's the blue princess

There is another group of inspirtational mommies, even though they can no longer physcially touch their little ones they have shown me what true love is and to treasure every moment with them- Doodles, JenniferH, Dm24angel, KathleenG and Lauren.

There have been so many others that have helped me through the years. But I am proud to be apart of the great women on this board!!

I'm thankful for this board and all the ladies on it.

When the drama gets too much on NFR, when I start to feel a little like a have-not on the home board, when I get too sad reading Relationships & FHF, when celebrities make me roll my eyes so hard it hurts.. THIS is my safe haven.

I am constantly amazed by how DIFFERENT we all are - the parenting styles, the words we use, the things we do, the backgrounds we come from and the lives we lead. But despite the differences I can HONESTLY say that I don't think there is a 'bad' mom on here.

I thank you all for sharing your lives and your stories and your pictures with me every day - for making me smile a little brighter, pray a little harder and thank God a little more.

Each and every one of you is amazing - and I am grateful to have you in my life - in whatever capacity it comes. I refuse to single any one of you out because I don't want anyone to feel like I find anyone less special than the others. Just know that when I say my prayers each day - and when I whisper my thanks today - you should all feel a little extra love from someone here.

Leslie (Goldi) - you are such an amazing person. Your friendship means so much to me and I am so blessed to have you, Ed and Abby in our lives. Thank you for always listening, never judging and being my friend.

Jaime (MrsFlatbread) - you understand more about where I've been than most people I've known for most of my life. I am grateful for your friendship and the light you bring to all those around you.

Cindy (SweetCin) - I've had so much fun going through BOTH of our pregnancies with you. I look forward to watching our kids grow up together. You really are a sweet person.

Kerie (Kerie-is-so-very) - I thank you so much for all you've done for me, since the day Craig and I got married. Thank you for the advice, humor and friendship.

Darlene (Dancinbarefoot) - you have a way of giving advice that gets to the herat of the matter, no matter what that matter is. I appreciate you so much.

Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

Last thanksgiving I was sitting in the same place I am now...pregnant and not feeling well and getting fat.

Little did I know what I had in store for me over the next few months and untimately the next year.

You have all really supported me through one of the roughest times I have ever had...this thanksgiving is a little bittersweet for me since I thought it would be my first with 2 kids...but coming here always helps and takes my mind off things and helps me through the hard, emotional times.

It's hard for me to single anyone out - or even sometimes remember all the poeple that have supported me since there are so many. Thank you all - really, I am so thankful for you, your support, and your friendship.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL! I don't know where I would be as a mom without all of you. That's as comprehensive as I can make it since its true. If I had a dollar for the million times I said, well, I will just ask the ladies on the board and they will help me I would be a rich woman.

Thank you all for the laughter, the tears, the prayers and the hugs- I couldn't have made it without you.

To Barb and Theresa- I am so grateful to actually have the chance to get to know you IRL even though I am thousands of miles away. Your friendship means the world to me- you have both helped me in so many ways.

MrsPornStar – I never thought years ago when I started on LIF that we would become such incredible friends. We embarked on a journey towards parenthood by way of the IF boards TOGETHER and now our children will surely grow up as the best of friends. You have supported me through VERY hard times and I will always remember just how special you and John are to Ed and me. Aidan is blessed to have you as a mother.

MrsFlatbread – I can’t begin to describe how lucky I am to have you in my life. We have shared so much in laughter and tears. Frankie is an angel and I cannot wait to see him put the moves on Abby behind Ed’s back because you KNOW he will!

DancinBarefoot – You are an incredible and strong lady who has very high standards. I appreciate your friendship and how you will do anything for the people you care about. I am truly glad we have become friends. I am also glad how we can beat a joke into the ground and NEVER get sick of it

Reese1106 – Ed and I are so lucky to call you friend. Even though you talk with him more than me and I still question the paternity of your children, I can look the other way because you have been very good to me. I enjoy our shopping trips and serious conversations. Just get Benjamin his own watch ok?

Alexlynn7 – You do not charge me for free medical advice. Seriously, I am thankful for hours of “couch time” over the past year plus! You have been a very strong support for me!

Dooodles – You gave me some of the best advice through my process to become a mother. You are one of the strongest women I know and I have a great deal of respect and admiration for you. Again, as I have told you multiple times before, you humble me.

Nrthshgrl – You are a no-nonsense person. You captured the best moments of my life as I waited for Abby and afterwards. Thank you for your eyes AND for your ears.

Hbugal – You are more inspirational to me than you will ever know.

Lorimarie – You don’t think I am a loon even after I passed out at our shoot this summer – or do you? I think you should charge extra if your subjects have special dietary needs. Just a thought.

Headoverheels – Burgers. Nothing but big fat juicy BURGERS!!! I will forever be bonded to you over BEEF and intolerance for the stupidity of others. I cannot imagine anything more precious that could bring two friends together.

Rojerono – You are so grounded and headstrong in your parenting and though I know we come from different schools of thought, I have the utmost respect for your strength and your ability to articulate your thoughts with class.

Stacey1403 – You are silly in a serious world. We need more people like you. You also appreciate a good haiku now and again.

MrsRbk – I am so glad we became friends. As “older moms” we shared our fears through IF and parenthood. The support you gave through my process and when Abby was born will NEVER be forgotten. I am forever grateful that we share what we do. I look forward to the B’nai Mitzvot of our children and in 13 years, I BETTER be lighting a candle!!!!

SweetTooth – I am so thrilled for you TWO FOLD!!! Nothing pleased me more than to have been a small part of the beginning of your journey. You sent me the best gift in a picture just a few months ago. I had tears running down my face and jumped up and down.

I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the journeys and continuing journeys of the ladies on/from the IF board who I grew to love and respect with every ounce of my heart. I know I am a busy person, and can't do as much as other women here on these boards. I try when I can.

I have to be honest, I am a little sad and pensive today as I turn 35. I don't know why.

I am reading these posts and thinking how many wonderful women are here on the baords,a nd all the nice things everyone does for and with each other.

And here I am with 20K+ posts, and hardly did anything for anyone else. It makes me feel crappy, and then reading this, knowing I touched one person (and you too, Dawn) means the world to me....

First off, I just know I will forget someone so I apologize in advance and will probably go back and edit this 10 times to include whomever I remember.

Nrthshgrl... for EVERYTHING. I still laugh when we realized we lived on the same block for the good part of a year but never met until LIF. Yeah, Barb, no wonder why my old house looked so familiar, it's down the end of your block Oh, and I do mean everything. For all of the help, all of the support... all of the pictures, the day the babies were born for rushing all the way home from working in the city, then getting back in your car to drive back west again to visit me before visiting hours were over... and, well, for being a great friend

CkGm... we planned our weddings together... and three plus years later... look at us! Murphy's Law that two people that live the furthest from each other would get along so well. Do we really need all of those states between NY and CA? Mi casa es su casa. When you are in town you can always count on pizza and/or a LI bagel at my house

The M-O-M's (Twin mommies) that came before me... even though I know many of them no longer post... FireIslandLove, Pinky, AlohaMa, Crismicka, Diane, IrishTracey, Burberrygrl... only you girls can relate to the logistics of "doing everything twice" or sometimes at the same exact time. Many of your babies were born 6 months earlier than mine so you paved the way and always had the answers when a "How in the heck do I.... with two?" question popped into my head

Bxgell2... Beth, we had so much in common, some unfortunate things in common, now I'm hoping we have one more thing in common Counselor, thank you for being my "legal sounding board"... I owe you about 5,896 soy lattes. Again, like Christine, why can't we live near each other? Better get Tah-win-ZAH's ready for a visit to the city of brotherly love.

Lorimarie... for beautiful pics of my kids and always a good laugh. And, yeah, we were neighbors and never knew it

ME75 and lvdolphins... who knew the day we walked into the mommy group that 1/3 of us were from LIF I still crack up over our GTG's... my kids and their "set your watch to it" nap times... when I had to go, I had to go... remember me getting one of them into your house and running out to get the other?... Hey, Theresa, do you need help? Nah, I'm good, I got it! We must GTG soon because now we all walk in together

And for all of the mommies who I don't know IRL whose posts have inspired me, made me laugh and reminded me that our children and families, above all else, is what is really important

I can't say enough good things about this site and all the Mom's who have touched my heart in one way or another. I feel lucky to be able to share in your lives regularly. It's nice to know that we can cheer each other on and share our DC's milestones with each other. I wish I could have met more of you before we moved but I still feel grateful to share the boards with you.

I want to thank you all individually but I just don't know where to begin.

Don't be sad! You were one of the many I didn't mention but thought about as I read this thread! This is why I try not to name people because I know I will forget someone. But you know how much your advice meant to me back when we were worried about Grace.

WOW. I am reading some of these posts. Here are mine:

-DonnaMarie- (Donna): For being there for me in ways I never imagined. Watching Grace, when I had cardiac rehab, EVERY Monday for 12 weeks. You never asked for ANYTHING in return, never accepted money, or anything else but my thanks and gratitude. You organized meal support for my family when I went in for my surgery, even when I did not want it b/c I was embarrassed. You introduced me to a group of moms in the meet up group who are now some of my closest friends. Most of all, I value your friendship and who you are as a person. You are, by far one of the most giving, selfless, sweetest people I am blessed to know and I thank God that He brought you into my life.

Eireann (Erin): I will always be thankful for that FM you sent me that led me to work with your DH an become a title closer. I am grateful to you and Peter for investing time and effort into helping me and my family. You are one of the sweetest people on LIF and I look forward to meeting you IRL very soon.

Nrthshgrl (Barb): for your stories of your kids that always seem to brighten my day. For the great pics you took of Gracie and I when she was 5 months old, which are to this day the only good pics I have of us together. LOL!

Prncss (Rachel) & Moehick (Moe): For making me laugh and supporting me through a rough time. I remember coming on here while Rob was tucking Gracie in, post - heart surgery and I could not hold my DD for 8 weeks. I was on here every night to get my mind off of the emotional pain I felt about not being able to hold my Gracie. I remember being on vicodin, not spelling well on here, and you guys were always there with me, with trivia, or a fun thread. It made the most difficult and painful parts of my recovery bearable. For that, I will always be grateful to both of you.

DebG (Deb): We never met IRL, yet I felt that you were pretty much the ONLY person on here who understood what it was like to be a young mom and sick with a rare illness. The days I struggled and was exhausted during my post-op recovery, I thought of your strength and it kept me going. The way you CHOOSE to handle what life has dealt you has made a HUGE impact on me, for that I am thankful and blessed that I "met" you on LIF. I remember the FM's you sent me. You did not know it, but those FM's were answers to prayers. I felt so alone and depressed after my surgery and then I would get an FM for you. You were going through your own hell and you thought of me. AMAZING. I thought, thank you God for that FM. Those words of encouragement were EXACTLY what I needed at the exact time I need them. Deb, do not EVER doubt the impact you have on others. You helped me through a VERY dark time.

Casey31 (Ariella)- You are on of the sweetest people I have ever met. I am thankful that we are friends.


I know I am leaving some others out, and I apologize. I do not want this to be a popularity contest as this thread is WONDERFUL. I am thankful to ALL of you. ALL of you prayed for me when I had my heart surgery. I felt EVERY ONE of those prayers flood over me when I walked down the hallway to the operating room to have my heart cut open. I felt peace, a peace I cannot explain and I KNOW that is in large part due to hundreds of mommies on LIF praying for me that day. I believe with all my heart that your prayers helped me through my surgery and recovery. I am so thankful for everyone on here.
