Please Open *PARENTING'S Giving Thanks Thread*

Anyone else watch Oprah? Everyone placed notes in a box saying something nice about the person? Well I did a spin on it...

So in honor of Thanksgiving let's give Thanks to those around us...

Let's try and say something nice about everyone. Let's keep an eye out for those of us who are a little bit more quite than others etc....

Me first....

Twinboys425-I thank god every day for bringing you into my life. You are the best friend someone could ever have.

Dancinbarefoot-You are such an amazingly good person. I truly hold you in the highest regard. Thank you for letting us be a part of Marianna's life. We have all truly fallen in love with her.

Kerie-is-so-very-I love your spin on things and the stories that you tell. Thank you for always being there to listen to all my crazy stories.

Lastchance1222-Your energy is infectious. Thank you for always having a way of making me feel better about myself.

Alexlynn7-Thank you for always taking the time to answer my silly questions. I appreciate so very very much.

Armyofbabies-Thank you for giving me something to do with my useless knowledge..

Jaime-Thank you for always offering a helping hand/word etc. You crack me up and always put a smile on my face.

Phyl-What can I say to Phyl. Thank you for always helping me find the right answer and for talking me down off the ledge.

Doodles-Thank you for always being there with a hug. It's so comforting to know that someone truly understands.

Littlejoy06 - thanks for all your help with everything and for listening to me rant about...well, just about everything (especially my mother!).

nrthshgrl - thank you so much for your advice and your photoshop help, without which my Christmas card this year would have been missing some of those extra touches I didn't know I could do!

Thank you to everyone who helped bring the Halloween GTG together.

i dont know anyone IRL or will ever have the chance to meet you but I would really like to thank a few of you!

hbugal - for all the spit-up advice when my daughter was spitting up every 5min! I hope to be able to put other mothers at ease in the future the way you did for me.

shellybean - we went through our preg. together and it has been great talking to you on here and for noticing i was "missing" when DD was born...I had no way of telling any of you right after she was born!

goldenrod - when i was looking for a convertible carseat for DD you helped me so much and I really appreciated it!

to everyone else that has offered me ANY advice I truly appreciate it and although i will never meet any of you in person I am glad to have found LIF!

Oooh, this is nice. But I have a horrible headache right now and can't remember all of the names of all of the people I want to thank.

Gatsbygirl- Sam, thank you for listening to me and being my friend and tolerating my horrible grad school schedule.

Janice-Thank you for your help and breastfeeding support. If I didn't know how long you had gone, I might have stopped sooner.

LoriMarie & Barb-thanks for always paying such great compliments to my bro's pics of Sabrina

I am incredibly thankful for my friends who I've met through this site, but have become great friends IRL: Summerrluvv, chelle, dm24angel, karacg, halisa, and ang-rich, I am glad that LIF could bring us together. And Melissa77 for being such a good friend too (but I didn't meet her thru LIF )

But here are a few more:

Hbugal-Heather, you are incredibly helpful and just someone with a good soul who is always ready to help people with her BTDT knowledge.

Littlejoy06-Sue, I think you are a great force on the board, always wanting to bring everyone together.

I am so thankful to have met so many LIF moms IRL.

Briansbaby814 (Christina): Bryan and I love getting together with you and Bri.
I'll never forget the nights you stayed on AIM with me as we were doing CIO with Bry. You helped me stay so strong! Thank you.

Liveagain: Always a good time when we GTG at the mall, outlets or wherever.

Tah-Wee-Zaah: Even though we haven't seen each other in a while (we do need to GTG soon) you helped me tremendously with getting Bryan involved with EI and letting me know all will be ok

Lipglossjunky (Liza): Also, another huge help with all my questions with EI.
Miss our Barnes N Noble GTGs as well.

ME75: She rarely posts, but, last year we were in a "Mommy Group" together and its so nice that we still keep in touch. We did GTG a few times after the mommy group, but, it's been a while. So hard when everyone went back to work and I started babysitting again.

There are so many more. These ladies definitley stick out in my head the most!
I am so Thankful for the Parenting board and so Thankful that someone is ALWAYS there for you!

I am thankful to all the mommies on this board. They have all helped with their words of encouragement, updates on recalls, and the overall fun of being a mommy.

I am also thankful to Goldi because every year she posts pictures of her menorah and the correct way it should be lit. Every year I forget and I am so glad she posts that information.

I want to thank everyone for giving in to my Lily picture-posting obsession and not running me off the board when I post too many of her!

Chelle - thank you for being my due-date twin...not that it was a choice for either of us...but you were great.

Karacg - for helping me out so much when I was pregnant and for being so nice always!

KateDevine - thank you for helping me bring Lily on playdates. And for helping me out with my new venture.....

Jamie - thank you for setting up Girl's Night Out at Houllihans....that's the last time I went out, and it was a looooong time before that, so I really apprecaite it!

Hbugal - what a nice idea - thanks for starting this...and for being so down to earth and funny.

Tah-wee-zah - thank you for the lawnmower....and the various baby things you gave me! Your generous spirit is amazing!

Quite honestly, there's really no way I can say one person. I'm SO incredibly indebted to this board. To each and every one of you. If it wasn't for the LIF parenting board, I would not have the sanity I have today. You girls (and guys) are an amazing support system that has helped lift me up in times of need and shared some interesting times when my wacky daughter has puzzled and amazed me.
Singling out just a few, I'd like to thank Corinne, Noreen, and Jamie for being there to talk some sense into me. I'd like to thank Marcie and Moehick and MrsErod for being awesome, fun and fantastic women who I have had the pleasure of spending time with.
Jessbaby and Dawnygirl: I'm so glad we have the chance to bs back and forth, and Jess, I'm so glad our kids play so nicely together!
All in all, I'm so thankful to have a place to go when I am in need of anything. It's the best support system I can think of!

I have a LOT of people I am grateful for on this board.... Chelle, KateDevine, dm24, Summrrluvv, Halisa (who never ever posts but that's ok), rose825, shamrock, ang, littlejoy, palebride, pugmama, luvsun.....and many many many more...all for different reasons....

But the one person who truly inspires and leaves me in complete awe is Leighla. Despite all she is going through, she keeps her head and a sense of humor. I don't know how she does it, and truly she is an inspiration. She also helps me to not take anything for granted....not sure if she knows that but it's true...

There is no way I could list everyone. I tried and it would go on and on.

You people know who you are. you are the ones who helped me when DH was laid off. You are the ones who helped me when Cailen wouldn't sleep. You are the ones who helped me when I was having trouble with my stepdaughter. you are the ones who laughed with me, who called me, and who were there whenever I needed a hand.

I am a saner and well-rounded person because you have been in my life.

No need to name names. You know who you are.

My only wish was that I had more time to be more social with everyone IRL. I see so many moms I almost had the opportunity to develop better friendships with, and it just couldn't really take off because of my schedule, but everything is meant to be and happens for a reason. I am thankful for everything that lead me to where I am today. And you are all a part of that!

I'm exhausted so I know I'm going to leave out a ton of people - this is also not including any of my friends who I had on here in real life before LIF - they know I love them.

For my LIF girls:

NBC188, Bayla, and Inshock - you girls literally are the ones I can share every singe thing about Jack with - where else can I have three amazing moms who have children born the same exact day as my son?? I am so thankful for each and every one of you and look forward to seeing the little ones real soon!

Ang-Rich - you are such a caring, kind, and generous person. You always have the right words to say and you can tell they come from the heart - I think you are a very special person!

SmileyD and Sweets - Deb - first off - you hooked a sista' up at Jack's first birthday party -- I am still in awe of you and am in debted to how easy you made my life that day. We need to get together more being that we love about 2 seconds away from each other. Ro - you are my girl! We just click and we can talk about anything! You are always here to listen to me complain! BMonster - I love seeing you and Ethan at Storytime - I only wish Jack would sit still for more then a minute so that we could catch up more! You are a truly wonderful mother and Ethan is absolutely amazing.

Seles81 - well, we met through LIF and I am so thankful that we did. Not only were you someone I could easily talk to - but you are so generous and sent Jack adorable little sneaks - along with a bunch of clothes. Your generosity astoundes me!

Barb - I still think back to when you were donating your own personal time to take pictures for Debg. You not only humored me by taking pictures of Molly - but you got the first professional shots of Jack when he was just over a week old. Your like the "mother" of the Parenting board - I just feel like you know so much and I am always looking forward to hearing what you have to say about something bc it just always feels right and makes sense!

JenBenMen - you are such a sweet girl and I can always relate to your posts!! I think our boys would be great buds! LOL

Hgubal- for starting this thread and for just being you !...She reached out to me knowing that I was on bed-rest and made sure I was being good She is always incredibly supportive and its so nice to have someone that can truly relate to my situation, and always knows the right things to say Thank You !

I cant give thanks to just one--there are so many of you that went out of your way and continue to do so when I was going through probably one of the most difficult times in my life--my horror pregnancy. You kept a smile on my face, lifted me up when I truely felt at times I wanted to give up. So today I am thankful to have "met" all of you" you kept me going so I could safely deliver my baby girl

Deb (smileyd17)..we go way back to LIW days. Who would of known that we were some how already connected and didn't even know it! I gained a friend for life from this site. You are "real" and generous and always helpful. We went through it all together..from weddings to babies, to 1st b-day parties and 2nd! I love you!

Diana1215- lets just call you cousin Diana because you literally can be a family memebr! We have so much in common between our large families, traditions and etc. We just "get" each other and from the first time I met you, I felt like I knew you forever! XOXO

Tanaholic- I feel like I have known you forever. The same with Diana, we have so much in common and you I love the conversations we have about our boys , family and our love for sweatsuits, LOL . you are the sweetest! XOXO

Ang-rich- I think Diana put it perfectly! You speak from your heart and you are just the most sweetest down to earth person I think I have grown to know on this site! You are always pointing out the positives for people and alwyas willing to help anyone out! Your kids are going to have a wonderful upbringing with a mom like you!

Goldi- for understanding my love for Denny's and sharing a coupon with me


I think all the girls on here have something special about them that stands out!
