I am so sorry you have to go through this. Is there anything any of us can do to help? Meals, help with your other daughter, do you need us to bring you anything? Anything at all we can do to help, please ask. You can PM me if you need anything and I know these ladies would all love to help doing anything we can.....both of you ladies actually.

My heart goes out to you and your family during this horribly difficult time! Praying that your baby makes a complete recovery to 100% and this is just a distant bad memory with NO lasting effects! Praying!!!!!
Paddysgirl - I'm so sorry you are going through this with such a tiny little baby. My prayers are also with you and your family that your little one makes it through this 100% with no issues going forward.
Praying for both of you that in a few days this will be a distant memory and your babies will be smiling and laughing and back to themselves!

Definite seizures. She's on phenobarbital right now and it seems as if it's helping. I'm sad and angry. I'm sad that her eyes were opened because she was having seizures (every time she opened them, one always followed) and I'm angry that this poor defenseless little baby has to go through so much in her short life, more than some people have to go through in their whole lives. It's not fair.
Hubby and I are praying hard for you guys. Lots of hugs and good thoughts. Please keep me updated via FM. I'm hear anytime for you to vent or talk to. I know,we don't know each other outside of this post but I physically feel,your pain.

Thank you. I didn't mean to hijack her post. It's such a scary winter. The staff keeps telling ,e this is the worst winter most of them have ever seen for respiratory issues. At least once a week they are intubation a baby here.

She had an uneventful night, which is good. She's opening her eyes a bit and her pupils are reacting well to the light so she's actually opening them and likely not having a seizure. They're going to continue to lower the vent settings today and review the eeg to see where in her brain the seizures are coming from and if the phenobarbital that she's on for them have stopped them from coming.

I'm praying for you and thinking of your little girl every day. Paddysgirl same for you! My DD was in the PICU at 11 days old with RSV. It is rampant this year. I pray they both come off the vent and continue to improve!
