Please help me pick a KITCHEN

We are re-doing our whole kitchen and can't decide between

Cream cabinets with dark wood floors:

OR

Cherry cabinets with ceramic 18" tile floors:

Please help...DH and I can NOT agree.

even without seeing the cream... i have a feeling i would like the dark better...

ETA: I definitely love the Dark better!

I have cream cabinets with a rust colored floor. I just love the cream cabinets. So casual and homey.

The dark wood cabinets are much more elegant.

It's really personal pref.

I'm partial to the cream- we are planning to do our kitchen and I'm leaning towards white. But both are nice- as a PP said it's personal preference.

i can't say without seeing the rest of your house....both kitchens would be beautiful but i think your choice should be based on the rest of your house and style

I love cream, and was all about doing the cream, when our cabinet guy told us that with kids and just in general usage cream would slowly chip bc it's painted while cherry is stained...we went with Cherry

I personally like the cherry but I'd have to see what the rest of your house looks like. Whatever you choose, it should "fit" with your house, KWIM? You wouldn't put a country kitchen in a modern house, for example.

I considered a white or cream kitchen when we renovated our kitchen but it wouldn't have looked right with the rest of the house.

I agree with the others - it depends on the rest of your house!

I tend to prefer the darker wood kitchens, but whenever we remodel ours we may wind up with the cream as well, since we will have wood floors continuing through the house and I hope to stain them a dark wood. Our kitchen is so small that wood floors and dark wood cabinets would make it feel even smaller.

You have to go with what fits/works in your space!

Both are absolutely gorgeous! I see the cabinets in the link white though. I have cherry but it is very dark and if/when we redo our kitchen I will go with white. I just think they are really crisp and clean. I love it with the dark floors.

Ive had both....Cream does chip but you dont see any dust day to day. I love mine, but I have also had the cherry, and LOVED them too!

lovee the cream cabinets! we just redid our kitchen and did cream/antique style cabinets. couldn't be happier. it reallyyy brightens the home!!!!!!!!!!

Tough call.

I like both but if I did the cream I would do darker granite.

They are both so nice but I think I like the cream cabinets.

Well those are completely two different floors, immediately I thought go with the cream b/c I'd rather have the wood floors than tile. Also better for resale IMO.

I have to say the cabinets you called cream look bright white to me.

I have both cream and cherry and I vote for cream. The cherry island gets filthy. With two kids and their messy fingers touching everything, the cherry doesn't stand a chance. The cream is easier to maintain.

I have tile floors but like the wood look. They make a porcelain tile that looks like wide plank hardwood floors. Just saw it in my neighbors house and was really impressed by it. I hadw wood in a former kitchen and it was a pain, IMO.

I LOVE the cherry cabinets with the tiled floor. It looks so rich looking... I have the cream cabinets with granite and all and my next kitchen I def plan on doing the cherry.

LOVE dark wood floors so I vote for the cream cabinents.

Do you have wood floors in other rooms in your home and if so are they also dark wood?

I am no help because I like them both would love either one.

Although I am leaning towards the dark cherry with the ceramic floor because the cabinets will look cleaner(smudges, food splatter etc) and the tile floors are more resilient...
