Playtex drop in bottles vs dr browns
I like the airvent bottles, yes there are more parts but I felt I can get the bottles extra clean since I can take it apart (we dont have diswasher)
My sister swears by drop ins because its faster to clean, just the top needs to be cleaned. The bags should be easier to heat up with a bowl of warm water since they're thinner.

Re: Playtex drop in bottles vs dr browns
We started our twins put with playtex drop ins and loved them! However, they did not work for us. They are supposed to be really good for gas, but DS's gas and reflux was so bad, it they didn't help him. Plus, DD had an issue where her tongue stuck out all the time. So a speech therapist said it was due to the muscles in her mouth or something and to try a smaller nipple. It took dd an hour to drink a bottle. So we switched to dr browns and they worked for us. But they are such a PITA. If Iwe could have, we would have continued to use the playtex. Good luck! I hope it works out for you!!

Another fan of the Playtex Ventaire here....very easy to clean, I liked them better than Dr.Browns. I always used the skinny ones and they fit nicely into a diaper bag bottle holder as well. I saved the ones from my DS which I will be using for the twins and I plan on getting some more!

I didnt even think of the diaper bag or bottle cooler. Thanks.!
I ended up buying the wide ventaire nipples in med flow. I didnt get to try since I was so busy today.

I'm dumb but I hated the plastic bags and couldn't measure the liquid right.
Do you just pour it in to measure? I did that and I'm not even sure it's accurate. Should I use a measuring cup? See I'm dumb too. Lol
i hated them for this reason as well. and dd sucked in a ton of air with the drop-ins. she has gas issues even with dr browns/born free but drop ins were way worse.

I found the player ex brand drop ins were fairly accurate. The other brands aren't they don't line up the right way with the measurements. Measure with a cup and then you will know. When you make the bottle push the bag up towards the nipple to push all the air out. It should automatically work like a suction do the baby won't be sucking in air. It should sort if self collapse if that makes sense.

I think I'll just measure to make sure. I still haven't tried the different nipples since I just made a bunch of dr browns.

Playtex drop in bottles vs dr browns
I have a bottle warmer so i use glass bottles from evemflo to heat up and measure oz then place in playtex nursers bottles. I absolutely love them and most important dd. Loves them. Its the only bottles she would take to and do well with. She hated dr browns andso did i cause of all the parts.
Are you puahing the air out of the liner? I find this helps dd. She had reflux really bad these bottles helped. Never used vent air juat nursera.

You have to make sure to push up on the bag and get the air out and if you do it correctly, there should be practically no air in the drop in bag when you give the bottle.
If you had a hard time getting the air out, especially with the 8 oz bottles, I found that taking the burp cloth and shoving it inside the bottle when I pushed up allowed me to get every last drop of air out. Worked like a charm.
