One of my best friends suffers from migraines almost everyday and I feel so bad for her.

Re: Pity
Yes. DH's aunt is pretty much a spinster. She's only in her 40s, but you would think she was much older. She has always lived in the same apartment and still lives with her ailing mother. She doesn't seem to have any social life. She is very frumpy looking and does nothing to make herself look presentable. Her social skills are "off" and I don't think she holds a job. According to DH's father, she was "normal" until age 11 when their father died. I feel like if she got the right help back then, she would have more of a life now.

Re: Pity
Yes! Almost same situation as Jen's coworker. My friend is great. I love her. We have a big group of friends who are either married, engaged or dating and she has no one. She tried once, then gave up. Still lives at home (nothing wrong with that) but wont move on with her life. When we start having children, its going to change more because we wont be able to hang out as much as we do now. We tell her to try match.com, aol.com..etc.. Not interested. She wont go out, without us. She can definitley move on, she just doesnt want to be bothered.
