Picture people

DD's are 2 years old and 1 month old. I really don't want to get caught in the chaos..... Would a weekday morning be less hectic at The Picture People? I was thinking of taking the girls sometime next week when they open

Defintely go on a weekday morning!!! I went this sunday at 3pm and it was a madhouse!! I have 2 children DD who is 2.5 and DS who is 6 months. You couldn't even walk in the door. The girl who helped us was horrible I thought and didn't even assist in the positioning or helping to make the kids smile...nothing!! DH and I were all over the place trying to get the kids to take a nice pic. The props were all over the place and there were barely any to choose from since every picture station was taken. I would never go there again at that time...or during the holidays. I used the groupon so it only cost me $1.50 after the $16 groupon, but it was chaos to say the least.

I went Sunday morning when they opened and it was slightly calmer- but the girl had no clue what to do when 2 year old ds didnt want to stay in position- she was baffled... Pics came out so/so but I also had the groupon so I figured no harm.

definitely do a weekday if you can and try and go when they first open

Definitely do a weekday morning, because it'll be so much calmer and less hectic. I went with DD this Sunday at around noon and it was a madhouse. DD usually doesn't cooperate for pictures, but she had a great photographer.

I went there at 10 today which wasn't bad, by 1030 it was a mob scene

I was there today at 11 and it was a zoo!!! Like everyone and their mother took off from work

All that aside, I was pleased with the pics although we couldn't get an outfit change... Dd was getting too tired...

What I didn't like was the manager trying to sell us on packages/upgrades/frames etc. It got to the point where I had to get snippy to get left alone... I mean, I did buy the high res cd so it wasn't just a cheapie groupon visit!

I was also there today around 10:30 and it was insanity.

Our photographer was not the greatest. DS was not smiling and he is usually a very happy kid. She did nothing to try and engage him. And I didn't particularly like what she did with the props.

I was also ticked that we waited almost an hour after the shoot to see the pics. I had no idea it would take that long. Then it was another hour to print.

I definitely won't be going back there for holiday pics ever again.

I'm so glad I had the groupon otherwise I really would have lost my mind.

Ugh...we're going tomorrow at 2:40...I know it's going to be crazy! I based the time around when DD would most likely be happy, although now I think I should have made it earlier.

Did you at least get seen for your appointments on time? I'm worried that if we have to wait much past then, she will be tired and cranky.

I didnt get pics but was just at the mall today and it was CRRRAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZY. I am lucky I did pics when we had no power for 2 weeks. Everyone was DEAD because they were standing in line getting gas.
