I know this has been done a million times-comparing optimum and verizon-sorry if this is annoying.
Our optimum just went up about $40 a month. We had called and got a discount a year ago when we moved, but now they are bumping it up again.
I don't want to pay $172 for 1 box, silver package, internet and phone. Totally ridiculous.
We don't get verizon fios or internet where we live.
What other options do we have? I haven't called yet to complain-but will be.

If you cant get Fios then I think your only other option is to go with Direct tv or Dish. We switched from Optimum to Fios cause the cost kept going up and when we called they wouldnt do anything for us. Once we switched they called and offered the world. Service is better with Fios and they have already offered free things.
You can call Fios and see if or when it will be offered in your area.

Only thing is to call and complain, see what they can do at least that is what I did and it worked some what. It ended up only going up $5 instead of the $40 I thought it was going to go up.

That's what we pay...it's ridiculous!!! They are installing Fios on our block right now so I'll explore that soon

Call the cancellation department. I am getting the silver package with one extra box. I pay $128 a month. I had to argue a while on the phone with the guy but a few people I know are getting the same thing for the same price. I was paying a LOT more. Regular customer service can't give you what cancellation can.

I called this department a year ago and they gave me a discount for only 1 more year. It's so frustrating that I have to call constantly on this.
