these scams pray upon people who are trusting and really want that rebate check fast!
remember---the IRS will NEVER call or email you for information that requires you to give up your SS #, bank information, etc over the phone or internet to "get you money faster"! They will send you regular mail!
I've received an email that states there's a "problem with my refund" from what looks like the IRS and you click on a website and it asks for social, bank info, address, etc.. No way am I entering that stuff!

I just got an email from "IRS" saying I was eligible for a refund...wonder if this is part of that scam??

I'm good to go, I went out yesterday and pre-spent my rebate check...I did what they want us to do and put it right back into the economy...I spent it on $500 worth of po rn...hey, they're the ones who called it a "stimulus package"
