Personal Question - BFN

I hope no one minds me asking...

For those of you that got a BFN, do you BD all the time (daily or every other day) from the day AF leaves to days after you think you "O"?

I'm just trying to figure things out for myself. I've been BDing every other day since AF left (CD5 now on CD18) and I'm just curious what my chances of being PG are. I didn't know if anyone else tried this and still ended up wtih a BFN.

TIA!

First, I am not familiar with BPN, I *think* you mean BFN (as in big fat negative) vs. the BFP, yes? Or is it another term?

My doctor told us that the easiest way to TTC is to BD every other day. So you definitely have a chance to have gotten PG this month if that's what you did. I know that sometimes it's not as easy as just BDing every other day though.

Yes we have BD every other day and I think I O'd early this month CD12. So I'm couting today as 6DPO. But I'm not positive that I O'd so I'm also going to continue to BD until AF is due.

BTW...I give credit to whoever can BD like this monthly. It's exhausting Chat Icon

I think if you've BD every other day, you are good. I believe this is how my BFF got pregnant with her first baby. I know some people say to BD every other day and then every day for the days you may ovulate - but someone more knowledgeable could correct me on that! Baby dust to you!!!! I usually BD starting from CD8 every other day...then when i get EWCM i then BD for 3 days in a row...

As long as you BD around the time you "o"....you will have a good chance

This is average time it take for most healthy women.

25% will be pregnant in the first month
50% will be pregnant in 4-5 months
75% will be pregnant in 9 months
80% will be pregnant after 1 year

Re: Personal Question - BFN

This is our first month TTC and we are BDing every other day. I figure that will ensure we hit my O time since I'm not using OPKs. Good luck!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Personal Question - BFN

I think it sounds like a great plan. I got my bfp by using that method...i didn't actually do every other day more like 4-5 days a week...doctor said that it was a great method. Good lcuk!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Personal Question - BFN

This month we've just been Bd'ing every other day and trying not to think about it too much. Previous months i was using OPK's and analyzing every little thing about my body, wondering if we were BD'ing on the right days or not etc. 5 months of BFN's

If there's one thing i've learned about this whole TTC process - what works for one person, doesn't necessarily work for another, and no matter how much you want to plan what you are doing, you have no control over it all. It's all a big crapshoot Chat Icon

So, try not to overthink it, relax and continue your BD'ing schedule as you have been.

Re: Personal Question - BFN

This is our 2nd month TTC. Last month we did BD every other day from CD 8 until I ovulated and then we BD 2 days in a row. But...it was exhausting and when it came time to BD 2 days in a row, DH had a little troubleChat Icon

soooo ... this month we waited a little longer to BD since I don't O until CD 17 and we will see what happens next week when AF is due.

But I def agree that all this BD is hard work! LOL

Re: Personal Question - BFN

I just wanted to chime in and say that you'll really never know what will bring you success with TTCing. Using myself as an example-- Both times I've gotten PG, it was our 3rd cycle trying and we only BDed one time during my fertile period. With my DS it was the day before I O'ed and with the PG that I just lost it was 3 days before I O'ed.

Every other day definitely covers your bases. GL Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Personal Question - BFN

We tried a marathon month like that and still got a BFN. We wound up getting pregnant after an IUI.
