For kids shoes, why not! I have to buy 4 pairs bc both kids outgrew theirs so quickly , and at the same time of course

Re: Payless shoes
I shop at Payless.....hope that does not make me a bad person. Some of us can't afford to shop at other places.
it's not buy 1 get 1 one, it's buy 1 at full price, get one at 1/2 price.

I can't help the OP, but I get my daughter's dance shoes there, along with rain boots and holiday shoes. My kid grows so fast, it's not worth the money to buy pricier shoes. I've also bought myself sandals and summer flats there and they have held up really well.

Same here.
The one in Islandia seems to be a decent size store.

My 2 yo is now wearing a size 9.5 and my 4 yo is wearing an 11, I'm done spending so much money in stride rite for now !

For kids shoes, yep!
But honestly, Payless isn't so "pay less" as they used to be. I usually can find better deals on kids shoes at Sears, Children's Place, Target etc.
ETA - Like everyone else, I refuse to pay a fortune for kids shoes........they barely last my DD a season. Not worth the $$$.

Re: Payless shoes
I shop there, for both me and the kids. No shame in my game!
To answer the OP's question, the one in Roosevelt Field has a good selection.

I do - I also shop at Marshalls, Macys, Bloomingdales. Manolo Blahnik, YSL, and Christian Louboutin - If I can find something cute at a steal, I'm ALL about it !!
I will not spend $$$$ on a pair of flip flops or summery wedges that will be out of style next season -
That being said, if you know your kids sizes, their online selection is HUGE
ETA: payless isn't really 'cheap' - I find much better deals at Marshalls or Macys or GAP (for the kids) w/ a sale and coupon

Re: Payless shoes
Geez ladies! I just meant it as a joke given the recent rash of financial threads that made me think no one would ever say they shopped at Payless.

Payless shoes
Payless is a rip off! Sorry, but their shoes are soooo expensive for what they are. They used to be a good deal. $19.99 for a kids pair of plastic shoes isn't a deal IMO. If you can get them on clearance, and with BOGO, that makes it better.

Payless shoes
I think the one in Centereach has a pretty big selection. I'm actually surprised to see so many people buying kids shoes there as I had to stop when they would literally fall apart in ONE WEEK. It happened twice to me and it suddently didn't seem like a big savings. I agree with the above poster that Children's Place or even some of the outlet stores that carry kids shoes seem to be better quality and about the same price if not tjust a bit more.

Payless shoes
I always amazed at the LV purse/wallet, prada shoes, fine tailored outfit women shopping in target and more so handing coupons to get their bill down under $1. I guess I should be a coupon queen and I can buy a fancy handbag and shoes too! LoL
