Papasan Swing VS. Regular Swing
Which do you recommend? And what are the differences between the two? Not sure which I should register for!

Re: Papasan Swing VS. Regular Swing
I am a big fan of the Papasan swing. Used it with both DS's and they really loved the side to side swinging.

I liked the Papasan too. The option to change the way it swings (side to side or front to back) really makes it suitable for children that have a preference.

Re: Papasan Swing VS. Regular Swing
I fell in love with the Papasan swing... but once my DD arrived... she had different ideas.
I had to go back to BRU and exchange it for a regular front to back Graco swing.
She hated the fact that it would lay her down so much and she couldn't see.... She's a curious little girl!
Best suggestion.... wait til your DC arrives, and test them out, and see which one they like.

We have the papasan swing. It worked great for DD. YOu do have the ability to but it in an upright position as they get older.

I tried that... It STILL wasn't good enough for my daughter!
And one of the main reasons why I loved the papasan was b/c it plugged into the wall, therefore no batteries... UGH!

Loved my papasan swing- I just wish I had the later model that plugged into the wall. There were many late night runs to get batteries with my DD.

DS loved the Papasan ! The one thing I'll tell you now if you get it ( and you remember ) - It can swing very fast when they are little even in the lowest setting, so to slow it down you can drape a blanket over it so it sweeps the floor
