Paint brand question.
I know many like BM paints. I do like the color selection. But Sherwin Williams is having a 40% off sale April 8-10. How does SW compare to BM?

Re: Paint brand question.
Sherwin Williams is an excellent paint. I have used it and have friends who have used it, I don't see a difference in quality. I think BM has a very good rep for being true to it's color swatch, which obviously makes it enormously popular. I gravitate to it for that reason myself.

Re: Paint brand question.
I really like SW paint. A lot of my house was done with BM paint, because the professional painter we hired worked with that brand.
But we've done several rooms on our own with SW paint and they came out great. I didn't notice any difference in quality, coverage, etc.
I think SW has a great selection of colors, too! In fact, I am a paint wheel addict and I have a SW paint wheel that I consult all the time! I just helped my mom pick out colors and she was very happy with the results.

Re: Paint brand question.
We painted our house in Sherwin Williams paints originally and were very happy with them.
We just had a major renovation and the painter used BM, so we have that now - but, we'd have no problem using SW again!

Re: Paint brand question.
I LOVE SW paint! I don't know about where you are but at my store, in MI, you can buy the can on sale and come back later to add the color! At reg price of $64.99 to get it at 40% off and not have to make a color decision that day, it is a freaking steal!!! My mom is doing this.
I recently repainted a few rooms and LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVELOVE the colors: Kitchen: Baked Clay Bathroom: Optomistic Yellow Emmy's Room: Wisteria Living Room: Bracing Blue

do you mean mixing the 2 types of paint and colors together to get another color??
ETA: I wouldn't do this unless you knew about color mixing (like what outcome you get when mixing certain colors together and also how much of one paint to put in each can, etc.). And also remember if you need more than one can you would have to either mix an exact formula each time or mix it all together in one mixing pot before doing any painting just to make sure each batch is identical and not off.
I'd rather just find the color I like the best and use that color rather then mixing anything together.
IDK if I'm even fully understanding what you are asking though.

I don't know if they would do it - if there's a color you like, maybe take a swatch and try to compare it to the closest SW color - or ask the person working there to help. They do have a good selection of colors at SW.

I did that with my entire house. I had a fight with the guy at Adoff's/BM and took my business to SW across the street. Every room in my house is BM color but SW paint, except my living room with is a SW color also...
ETA: I'm very happy with SW's prices and quality. They gave me huge discounts and I took advantage of that 40% off sale quite a few times...
