ovulation question
I just started using the First Response Ovulation Predictor Kit. Yesterday was the first time where both of my lines were pretty much the same color. Now today when I just tested the lines clearly indicated that I am ovulating. When do I start counting DPO?
Do I still test everyday until it shows that I am no longer ovulating and then start counting DPO???
I'm so confused!

Re: ovulation question
From what I understand (and this is just what i've learned from this board) once you get a + reading, you don't have to test anymore. But just using an OPK is hard to count DPOs bc all that means is you should ovulate sometime in the next 36 hours. Only temping can confirm DPO and it can only confirm it after the fact. If I were you I'd today and tomorrow, skip one day, then again. Good luck!!!!

Re: ovulation question
I've been everyday for the past 3 days, just in case. Is there a reason to skip a day or should I just keep going???

Re: ovulation question
I don't think there is a reason, but I want to follow Deanna's plan ( we aren't TTCing till August) which says "Try" every other night starting Day 8 Buy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks Begin ovulation testing on Day 10 When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row Skip one night, then do one last "try" Take a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun
It's also called the Sperm Meets Egg Plan

Yes there is actually a reason you should skip a day - the amount of swimmers that are produced drops dramatically if you each day - most men take up two full days to optimally recharge so your third day might be pretty depleted. .

If your DH doesn't have a low count issue every day is totally fine. At least that's what my doctor told me.
