ovulation and egg question
How would we know if we are actually releasing an egg during ovulation? I have had ewcm on Thursday but just a little. I have had more in other cycles though.
I got a + opk yesterday morning. We bd wed, twice on sat, and once on Sun. Maybe again tues. I'm just curious if its possible to get the LH surge but not drop an egg. Thanks ladies.

Yes is it possible to get a +opk and not ovulate. The only way you can tell if you actually ovulated is by temping.

I think as long as you have a rise in your temp for 3 days then yes you ovulated. By your temp rise starting on Saturday it seems that you would have ovulated on Friday.

Now I'm a little concerned because I don't know which to believe.

Re: ovulation and egg question
Definitley go by BBT before OPK. My doctor doesn't even recommend that I use OPK because they can be misleading. BBT will confirm whether you O'd or not.
OPK tells you your body is ready to ovulate and BBT confirms it. So if you only track BBT then you could possibly miss your most fertile day but OPK isn't always 100% accurate (shrug)

Re: ovulation and egg question
The only way you can actually tell if you are Oing is to get a blood test. But if you're regular and getting +OPKs you can assume you are most likely Oing. Temping is one step better than OPKs.
