Overthinking party start time

I just booked dd's 4th bday for the 12:30-2 time slot (my husband's recommendation). But I'm thinking the 11-12:30 might be better. They eat pizza/cake after the activity, so at least lunch would be at lunchtime. At 12:30, parents would have to feed their kids a snack or light lunch before coming.

Am I overthinking this? Do I let it go, or change it to 11-12:30? Is 11 too early?

In case it matters, it's a Saturday, and it is the first weekend in December when I'm sure parents will also want to cram in something Xmas-chore related.

Re: Overthinking party start time

I'd go earlier on a Saturday so it doesn't cut into too much of the day.

Overthinking party start time

If you are still worried I'd change it to the earlier time. Then you have the afternoon for whoever comes back to your house.

Overthinking party start time

You are overthinking this- the time slot you picked is fine- not every child eats lunch at "lunchtime".

Re: Overthinking party start time

I would do 11-1230. 11 isn't too early. Ending with pizza at 1230 is perfect and everyone still has the rest of the day to themselves.

I agree. We actually eat lunch in our house between 11-11:30 so 12:30 would be a very late lunch for my DS.

I'd go with 12:30. DS and a lot of his friends have sports Saturday mornings.

Re: Overthinking party start time

Thanks everyone. I think I should have booked 11, but because between this and booking our other daughter's first bday, my indecisiveness is driving my husband crazy, I think I will leave it as is.

I think the time you picked is just fine. If a parent feels their kid has to eat lunch every day at precisely 12:31:42 then they can stay home and you'll have one less kid to pay for.
