Overnight trip within an hour or so driving distance?
We want to go away for the night for our anniversary in July. I was hoping to go out east, maybe Montauk but seems every place has a 2 or 3 night minimum! Any other ideas?

Overnight trip within an hour or so driving distance?
Crystal Springs Resort. Stay at Grand Cascades lodge. It's in northern NJ and simply amazing.

I love Cold Spring. It's charming and has great shops and great restaurants with great river views. If you like Shakespeare the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival is held on the grounds of the Boscobel mansion. It's a lot of fun, we go almost every year and have a great time.

Did you try anything on the north shore? Greenport, maybe? What about Sag Harbor if you want to stay on the south shore?

Thanks everyone. DH hates the city so that's out. I was hoping to basically be near a beach or pool all day, then a nice dinner and drinks in or near the hotel. I'll look into some of these ideas.
