Overheard someone talking about my belly

We just had break and I definitely "blossomed" during my week off and I overheard one my students exclaim, "whoa she looks healthy" in a sly tone.

I totally called him out on it - I teach older kids - and was like, what did you say Marvin??"

Poor kid stammered, "uh nothing!"

My hormones wouldn't let me refrain from holding back my comment.

It's fine...I'm so sarcastic with all of my students!! It's just part of pregnancy!! He deserved a slap in the face for that one!!

My students havent figured it out yet. Adults have. I don't plan on telling them til they guess. Should be interesting to see their reactions.

when I was doing a maternity leave and then went back a few months later to work with the same kids... the kids were like wow your belly grew. Most of them didn't even realize I was pregnant when I first started in Oct. but by February they all had questions.
