Over the range microwave
ok, so who wants to stand by to help my DH install it?
I have a feeling I will buy it and it will sit in my living room for weeks.

If you have an electric stove you'll probably need an electrician as the two can't share a line.

They are NOT the easiest things to install...he is definitely going to need help...it does need to be on it's own line too.

that's what I'm thinking. when i asked him to ask his very big and strong friend to help he gave me a yeah, sure answer..makes me nervous.

These aren't difficult to install. You screw on the bracket to the wall studs. Then you just attach the microwave to the bracket.

I heard they were hard to replace and since my DH is not handy at all, we had it installed. We just replaced ours about 4 months ago.

If your DH is semi-handy it should be ok...
My DH and Dad did it - I don't think I could have helped DH when it came to lifting the microwave and placing it on the bracket - a microwave is to heavy for me...
I would say you need two people though when it comes to lifting it in place.
Otherwise your DH should be able to put up the brace/bracket thing himself. You just need some patience for that.

My DH and I did it together, I helped him lift it into place. He did run the electrical line and everything but we didn’t have one in place before so it was much more complicated.

I know! DH is insisting we don't pay for it so he will get his friend to help.
Good deal on the unit though through our friend at PC Richards.
I think we will get it this weekend. Can't wait because I found that I use that thing the most. I prep all kinds of things in there, steaming, par boiling..prep stuff.
What did I ever do without it?
