Our Party

We're having friends and family over in a few weeks....Want to make sure there's enough food in addition to the 6 foot hero to feed 60ish people. How many trays should I be making? Suggestions of items? Already thinking of the usual salads & ziti.

Thanks!

Re: Our Party

We are having a party for 60 people. We are doing a 6 ft chicken cutlet hero, 5 ft. Italian hero, macaroni and potato salad, green salad and 1 tray of mac and cheese, 1 tray of hot wings and 1 tray of swedish meatballs.

We are also have a slew of appetizers and various desserts.

1 pasta and 2 entrees is good for 60 people plus hero's.

Re: Our Party

I would say 5 to 6 Trays...Pasta, chicken, beef, veggie. salad etc

One thing I learned was go to the 99 cents store and buy some of those aluminum pans and if you have tons of left overs give them to your guests to take food home.

Re: Our Party

I did a party last year 60 people and did 6 full tray of hot food. Only one tray (chick parm) was an actual full tray. The others were half trays of assorted things. Linguini with white clams was a big hit, Eggplant Rollatini and grilled veggies too. I did chicken fingers for the kids.

I did a bowl of caesar salad, mozz and tomato platter, olives and pickles platter, cheese platter, and rolls.

I didn't do any apps because my nieces and nephews are a bit slobbish when it comes to food. I didn't want them crowding the table.
