OPK's from Dollar Tree...
I was looking at another post and thought I would start this one for newbies like myself...
So I guess the OPK's from Dollar tree are good to use? I saw them in there but was a little apprehensive about buying them.
I am new to this board and about to end my first cycle of TTC. Coming off BCP have done strange things to my body and AF came with a vengance this month!
How do the OPK's at the dollar tree work and what day after AF has left the building do I start using the OPK's.
TIA!

Re: OPK's from Dollar Tree...
Im new at this too and will be starting my first cycle of ttc
Many of the ladies on here use the dollar tree ones and say it does work. Others use CBE digitals. I bought CBE digitals and will also purchase ones from the dollar tree so that I can try to test twice a day (since they are less expensive than CBE).
I asked when to start and normally people start testing at CD 10. Since I also just came off of BC, my cycle is going to be out of wack- so Im going to start on CD 10 and probably go through A LOT of OPKs because I dont even know how long my cycle is going to be.
Good Luck!!!

Re: OPK's from Dollar Tree...
Dollar Tree OPKs seem to work just fine from what I've heard. There should be a chart on the OPK box to tell you what day to start testing on, depending on how long your cycle is.
Good luck!

Re: OPK's from Dollar Tree...
My personal experience was the Dollar Store OPK's and HPT's didn't work with me. When I was pregnant I had gotten a BFP at 10DPO with the First Response Early Result test and at 12DPO I got a BFP on the digitals. I didn't show a BFP with the Dollar Store tests until around 17DPO. Go figure!
To track my ovulation I SWEAR by the CBEFM. I LOVE it!! It's so easy to use and you know exactly when you are going to "O". I even used it in conjunction with regular OPK's (First Response) and they were both dead on. If you do decide to buy the CBEFM it's pretty in stores but I found a BRAND NEW one on eBay for about $70 and it included an entire brand new box of test sticks. AWESOME deal!! So look there first!
Lots and of luck to you! Hope your visit on TTC is short!!
EDIT - With the CBEFM you set it on Day 1 of AF and for the first time it usually has you start testing on CD10. As it tracks your cycles from month to month it may have you start testing earlier or later depending on the length of your cycle. You usually start out with a low reading, then high, and if you ovulate......peak. Once you get a "peak" and an "egg" on the monitor they usually have you test about another 1-2 days and then that's it until AF arrives and you start again. VERY easy to use and understand.

Re: OPK's from Dollar Tree...
I started using dollar store OPKs on CD 10 (knowing I wouldn't O for a few days), I started using CBE digital wen I started to notice CM and got my smiley on CD15.
