dollar tree opk
I got a faint line (definitely lighter than the control). The instruction box says it needs to be darker than the control. Is this a negative, or does it mean that ovulation may have passed or is coming? Anyone know?

Ok - so as far as I know (and I've read this in a lot of places) the line on the OPK has to be the same or darker than the control in order for it to be positive.
Otherwise, the color of the line is in no way an indicator of how close (or past for that matter) you are to Oing. All that matters is if it is darker or the same. Which test are you using? I have tried First Resonse and I didn't have too much trouble reading the result - however, I know a lot of people have difficulty with the "line" tests. This month I am using the Clear Blue digital (with the smiley face) just to be more sure.

Re: dollar tree opk
It does mean its negative, but it won't indicate if you are going to O soon, or if you have already O'd.
How long is your cycle and what day did you start testing?
