OPKs & Ovulation
I'm on a consistent 28/29 day schedule. Started OPK's this month and found that I got the 'positive' yesterday, on CD13. Then today (CD14) it was back to negative - just as it was one CD12. I thought we were supposed to have 2 days of ovulation.
Anybody else experience this?
Meanwhile, it says on the OPK's that they can detect a surge coming in 24-48 hrs. So that means that when you get a positive, you may not be ovulating yet, but in the near future? That's just confusing. lol. When do you all DTD? Day of, and maybe another day or two after?
Sorry for all the OPK questions, it's been a while since I've last done these while TTC #1 a few years ago. This all feels new to me all over again
ETA - I do OPKs with FMU

Re: OPKs & Ovulation
I have the same cycle. OPK's should also be tested in the afternoon since that's when the LH hormone most likely releases. You should be testing 2x a day so you don't miss your surge. Once you receive a + OPK you should be Ovulating within 12-48 hours. I would BD the day of + OPK and 3 days after. I usually start BD on CD 14 before a Positive just in case. I am also TCC for #2 so I also forgot all the rules.

Re: OPKs & Ovulation
Ok, thanks for that info. We're planning on starting to try next month, but I wanted to test now just so I can see where I'm at and prepare for July. I'll get another pack in a few weeks do that - test morning & afternoon and just make sure we try that day and the ones after.
