opk-what if i never got 2 dark lines?
i'm a beginner and i'm not sure if i did something wrong, but i bought OPK tests from a dollar tree and used them for almost a week and i never got 2 dark lines. one was dark and the other was light a couple of days, then disappeared.
we BD'd every day less the 2 days that followed that 2nd light line. i figured the spermies would live in there for a couple of days, so we'd be ok. in the 2ww and just concerned that we may have missed it.

I'm thinking that you probably didn't use them long enough or early enough.
What CD did you start?
How long are your cycles usually?
Are you just coming off BCP?

reading other posts, it seems women test earlier. the box told me to test later.

How many days did you test for?I have a 27-30 day cycle and I starte at CD12 b/c I know I always get my + OPK on CD14.

Ok so that's only until CD 15 right? you could def ovulate later. Keep testing.

And you know that the test line needs to be darker than the control line.. right? Were you definitely reading them correctly?
I highly recommend the CBE digital OPKs - there's no need to interpret lines!

I totally agree. Most of us use the Clear Blue Easy digitals.. It give you a smiley face when it detects a surge..

I had the same issues, I kept using them though and it turns out I didn't get my surge until CD18.
I would keep going until you get a surge for sure.
Next cycle, if needed (please no!), I am switching to the digitals-no guessing or forgetting which line to look at.

I also got the line OPK's because they were cheaper. Man do i wish I had spend the extra for the smiley.
Lets hope none of us need to make the switch to digital next month:
