OPK problem/advice
O.k., not sure if anyone else has this problem...but here goes..
When testing with an OPK, you are suppossed to test the same time everyday, and not urinate for 4 hours before. What is the problem?????? There is NO 4 hour period in 24 hours, that I don't have to tinkle!!!!!!! I don't have any medical problem, I have been like this my entire life. I even get up at least 2x a night to go. That is even when I try not to drink much in the evenings.
So, what can I do???? Will this mean that I can get a negative result even if I am ovulating??????

I drink tons of water all day long at work and test around 6-7pm when I get home and have not had a problem. I never did the 4 hour no pee, no water thing....just try to go at least 1-2 hours if you can without drinking a lot or peeing. Good luck.

I could only hold it for three hours today. After my morning coffee, I cant help it. Oh well.

i say dont drink much for a 2hr period and try testing, that way your urine is concentrated....
is there a # listed on the instructions you can call

I did after a.m. coffee too. I'd finish my coffee by 10AM and try to hold it til b/t 1-2PM. I tested around the same time everyday. I didn't drink anything in that time period - it was hard!

I tested after 3pm yesterday. I think anywhere around the same time each day but I know when I go back to school I will bring it with me so I can test the same time. You also get your LH surge in the afternoon so I like to test later in the day as opposed to FMU

Me neither-I just always make sure to test between 12-8PM.

I could never hold it for 4 hours. So since it's best to test in the afternoon I used to try to drink less at work in the afternoon and take it as soon as I got home from work around 6pm...I usually only went about 2 hours before taking it.

I always have such a hard time holding it for 4 hours too! What's worked for me pretty well is this: I pee after lunch, then try not to drink much all afternoon, maybe sips of water here and there. When I get home, I do the OPK test. That's usually close to 4 hours.
I always feel so dehydrated though - I hate that.
You're supposed to drink tons of water to increase cm, but you can't drink because you don't want to dilute your pee too much.
