I prefer morning parties. My kids are best then. My 2yo still naps and has been invited to several 4 and 5pm parties. He does great. My 4yo is hit or miss in the late afternoon. He no longer naps so sometimes he is super tired depending on what we did throughout the day.

eta: I think you should feed parents whether it is a morning or afternoon party.

I think you should choose the time that works best for you because it is your party!

That said - I think Sunday at 11 or 12 is really the best for a 3 yr old party. Most 3 yr olds do not consistently nap anymore and I think the later times are just too late. Also, for the non-family members attending it pretty much kills the whole day.
